South Dakota Soybean Processors Airflow Conditioning Project – Volga, SD

Buyer:South Dakota Soybean Processors, USA
Engineer:DESMET, Marietta, GA

Problem

Turbulent airflow from the cyclone stacks was causing unreliable flow measurements and severe vibration, making system performance inconsistent.

Solution

Flow Optimizers designed and implemented a Flow Optimizer Spool to condition the airflow before it reached the flow meter, ensuring smooth operation and accurate readings.

Results

Successful stack test completion
Eliminated extra braces used for stability
Reliable flow measurements & reduced vibration
