Overview

Flow Optimizer Baskets were fabricated for the East County Advanced Water Purification (ECAWP) program in Santee, California. Working from AECOM’s engineering specifications, Flow Optimizers® built and installed 24-inch diameter conditioning baskets to pair with Pentair 2-stage VS3 vertical turbine pumps—conditioning suction-side flow and protecting the pumps in service.

Application

The baskets condition incoming flow at the pump intake, reducing turbulence and pre-swirl ahead of the vertical turbine pumps. Cleaner approach flow supports stable pump performance, lower vibration, and longer equipment life—important for an advanced water purification facility operating continuously.
